  • We only use local ponies, horses and pack donkeys that are healthy, in good condition and well-cared for.

  • Our trips are guided unless special arrangement are made.
  • An overnight trip includes the hire of the mount, guide’s fee, overnight accommodation in a baSotho hut. We suggest guests take their own rations but food can be prepared at a negotiated cost.

HIKING

With mountains to climb, rivers to ford, bushman paintings to see, hikers literally have the world at their feet. The area is safe, spectacular and people are friendly.

Setting out on your own is not a problem and is also free. We suggest you use the services of a guide at a most reasonable fee who will impart local knowledge and make sure your hike is memorable.

MOUNTAIN BIKING

This is arguably the most awesome MTB terrain! A criss-crossing network of cattle trails, foot paths and abandoned roads, has created some incredible single tracks, at an altitude of 2200 metres and above.

Bring your bike to share in the magic!

FLY-FISHING

We are in striking distance of any number of rivers, some of which boast some magnificent wild spawn. For the best results, we suggest hiring a guide to show you where those secret stretches of rivers are.

For the real deal, why not embark on a fly-fishing safari on horse back? You will fish the area where trout was first introduced into Lesotho waters, back in 1926.

ADVENTURE RIDING

With an abundance of gravel roads and dirt tracks, the terrain is ideally suited to adventure motorcycle riders who love gravel travel. The lodge makes for the perfect base to explore the area, or as a welcoming stop-over en route elsewhere.

Are you a member of Wilddogs, Roam Africa or any other recognised adventure motorcycling fraternity? If yes, you’re entitled to a free quart of Maluti beer or a 10% discount!

OFF-ROADING & 4X4

The Lesotho highlands is one of the most-sought after, yet accessible, off-road and 4×4 destinations for good reason. To make the experience worthwile, the lodge not only offers geat accommodation, but also a quaint campsite with modern conveniences.

SENQU SOURCE-TO-SEA

This adventure deserves its own identity, because of the growing interest in this, the mother of southern African expeditions, starting the journey at the source of the Senqu, and paddling the river till its end in the Atalantic Ocean

We are the preferred launch destination because of our location, experience with these endeavours, and our willingness to lend a helping hand with logistics, transfers, and transport.

TUBING

This is a hard-core, yet most fun activity when water levels in the nearby Sehonghong River permits. It’s wild, rollicking ride through some turbulent rapids that will leave you both exhausted and exhilirated!
